Welcome To The Portsmouth Chorus Home of Portsmouth Music
We're always happy to welcome new  members, so why not come along and have a go at singing in a choir?   We rehearse on Monday evenings, 19:30 - 21:30, at the Mountbatten Centre

The Portsmouth Chorus, formerly the Portsmouth Glee Club, is a Portsmouth based choir founded by the late Harold Hall.


Beginning as a small group in the 1930s, we have grown to our current size of 80 singers. We perform at least two major concerts a year supported by professional artists in venues such as the Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral and the New Theatre Royal.


We also perform charity concerts in the Portsmouth area with up to 6 small concerts per year.




Our new Musical Director is Mark Hartt-Palmer. Mark is Leader of the Chichester Symphony Orchestra and is well-known as a soloist, recitalist, arranger and musical director.
