The Portsmouth Chorus, formerly the Portsmouth Glee Club, is a Portsmouth based choir founded by the late Harold Hall.

Beginning as a small group in the 1930s, we have grown to our current size of 80 singers. We perform at least two major concerts a year supported by professional artists in venues such as the Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral and the New Theatre Royal.

We also perform charity concerts in the Portsmouth area with up to 6 small concerts per year.

Our Musical Director is Mark Burgess. Mark is a Guildhall trained organist, Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and teaches at the Open University and local schools.  His idea of directing a choir is that we should have fun!

Come And Join Us!

We're always happy to welcome new  members, so why not come along and have a go at singing in a choir?   We rehearse on Monday evenings, 19:15 - 21:00, at the Mountbatten Centre.
