The Portsmouth Chorus

Come And Join Us!
Welcome To The Portsmouth Chorus
Home of Portsmouth Music
The Portsmouth Chorus, formerly the Portsmouth Glee Club, is a Portsmouth based choir founded by the late Harold Hall.

Beginning as a small group in the 1930s, we have grown to our current size of 80 singers. We perform at least two major concerts a year supported by professional artists in venues such as the Portsmouthy Anglican Cathedral and the New Theatre Royal.

We also perform  charity concerts in the Portsmouth area with up to 6 small concerts per year.

We are very fortunate to have an ex-Royal Marines Bands Director of Music, Rod Starr, who not only conducts and rehearses the Chorus but spends alot of his time arranging and composing music for our concerts, and fundraising.
We're always happy to welcome new  members, so why not come along and have a go at singing in a choir?   We rehearse on Monday evenings, 19:30 - 21:30, at the Mountbatten Centre
